Today is my cousin’s wedding and I am a bridesmaid, so exciting! Since it’s a wedding weekend for me, I decided today is a good day to share pictures/food from my other cousin’s wedding, from June 2013 (pictures above). There are seven of us first-cousins on my mom’s side, and he was the first to get married.
This was my first wedding since I was about ten years old. I feel like people always joke about how awful wedding food is but the food at my cousin’s wedding was really good! Wine was also served throughout dinner, which was nice. It was at Nicolette Island Pavilion. I had the vegetarian option: vegetable pasta. It was really flavorful, and tasted rich (not healthy, despite the veggies); very satisfying!
One of my cousins had the chicken option, which they said was good, but I think it was everyone’s least favorite of the three entrees.
The favorite among my meat-loving family was the meat. Served with gravy, mashed potatoes and baby carrots, it was so tender and tasty.
Of course, we had to have wedding cake for dessert! I don’t like cake that much, but I do love frosting, so I just ate then. Then it was more drinks and dancing, so fun!
