Last summer Zan, Maggie and I ate ice cream at 7A, and this year Maggie and I knew we had to go back. This time, we were hungry for lunch after hitting the secluded (private) Hancock beach, so we started with sandwiches (obviously, we also ate ice cream afterwards). Maggie and I both ordered the “CLT,” or capicola / lettuce / tomato. Very similar to prosciutto, the capicola was pepper-crusted making it a bit spicy and very flavorful. The bread was really soft but also toasted to the perfect degree: just crunchy. With the fresh lettuce and tomato and classic bread and mayonnaise, the sandwich was perfect.
Chelsea was even able to order a sandwich on gluten-free bread! She has roast beef on a roll with pea shoots, red onion and sour cream. This also looked delicious!
